Where the data comes from

Carrier registration, operating authority, insurance filing and inspection data is read from public datasets published by FMCSA and USDOT on data.transportation.gov.

Each report shows when we retrieved it. The agencies update their datasets on their own schedules (some daily, some monthly), so a record may have changed since. Figures such as fleet size are reported by carriers and are not verified by FMCSA or by us.
